Empathic Interventions – Presentation by Adrian Burnham, Flyingleaps (UK)
This talk will explore work by artists and visual activists whose interventions on the urban environment might be termed empathic. These include poignant repairs to the material fabric of the city; practices that draw attention to existing surfaces and the stories they tell; works that subvert authorised civic and commercial language; interventions that inspire engagement and spur opportunities for productive, citizen-led action and dialogue.
