It’s almost a month since Nuart Aberdeen hit the Granite City so the perfect time to take a look back at some of the highs and some of the stories from our amazing 2019 festival.
Each year Aberdeen offers a unique set of challenges and each year the team at Nuart Aberdeen and Aberdeen Inspired along with an amazing array of partners and volunteers help to make something pretty special happen. People flock to the streets to see the artists at work and we’re overwhelmed on the initial street art tours with 400 eager street art fans queing up, raring to go. But when the buzz dies down, the lifts are returned and the streets become quiet once more, that is your time to shine and your time to explore the city anew. This is where street arts power lies, giving you agency to see your city with fresh eyes and to discover some of the magical spaces that captivated the imaginations of our artists.
As always blood, sweat and tears go into Nuart and the results speak for themselves. Your response has been incredible and we can’t wait to come back in 2020. Thank you Aberdeen!
